Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy was last updated on August 14, 2025.

1. Introduction

Our website, https://pedalplayers.com (hereinafter: “the website”) has been designed to operate without the use of cookies or similar tracking technologies. This Cookie Policy explains our approach to data collection and the limited circumstances where cookies may be used with your explicit consent.

2. Our Cookie-Free Approach

We have implemented our website to function without placing cookies on your device. This means:

  • No cookies are automatically stored on your device when you visit our website
  • Your privacy is protected by default without requiring cookie consent banners

3. Anonymous Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics solution to understand how visitors use our website. This system:

  • Does not use cookies – No data is stored on your device
  • Is completely anonymous – We cannot identify individual users or track personal information
  • Respects your privacy – No personal data is collected, stored, or shared
  • Uses trusted hosting partners – Analytics data is hosted on our VPS with Hostinger, with strict data processing agreements in place
  • Provides aggregate insights only – We only see general patterns like page views and referral sources

This analytics collection is GDPR-compliant as it processes only anonymous, non-personal data that cannot be used to identify you.

4. YouTube Embedded Videos

The only exception to our cookie-free approach occurs when you choose to interact with embedded YouTube videos on our website. These videos are implemented with privacy-enhanced mode and additional protections:

  • Before interaction: YouTube videos are displayed with a privacy-friendly overlay that prevents any cookies or tracking
  • After you click to play: Only when you actively choose to play a video by clicking the overlay will YouTube be allowed to set cookies and collect data according to YouTube’s own privacy policy
  • Your control: You can view our content without ever triggering YouTube cookies simply by not clicking on video overlays

5. What are cookies? (For reference)

A cookie is a small simple file that is sent along with pages of a website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or another device. Since we don’t use cookies, this section is provided for educational purposes only.

6. Your Rights with Respect to Personal Data

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • You have the right to know why your personal data is needed, what will happen to it, and how long it will be retained for
  • Right of access: You have the right to access your personal data that is known to us
  • Right to rectification: You have the right to supplement, correct, have deleted or blocked your personal data whenever you wish
  • If you give us your consent to process your data, you have the right to revoke that consent and to have your personal data deleted
  • Right to transfer your data: You have the right to request all your personal data from the controller and transfer it in its entirety to another controller
  • Right to object: You may object to the processing of your data. We comply with this, unless there are justified grounds for processing

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact details below. If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, we would like to hear from you, but you also have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority (the Data Protection Authority).

7. Browser Settings

Since our website operates without cookies, you do not need to adjust your browser settings to use our site. However, if you choose to interact with YouTube videos, those interactions will be subject to your browser’s cookie settings for YouTube.com.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
