Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: August 23, 2025

Our policy in plain words

Pedal Players uses some affiliate links. If you click a link and buy a product, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This allows us to keep publishing free content for guitarists.

We do not run ads, and we do not accept paid reviews. Every recommendation is made because we believe the product is genuinely useful.

Amazon Associates Program

Pedal Players is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Other affiliate partners

In addition to Amazon, we work with affiliate programs from trusted music retailers such as:

  • Gear4Music (UK & DE)
  • Thomann
  • Reverb
  • eBay Partner Network
  • Other merchants via networks like Awin, CJ, and Impact

When you use these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How affiliate links appear on the site

  • Articles and guides: a short notice near the first affiliate link and again near any “Where to buy” section
  • Buy boxes: a clear note below the retailer buttons
  • Emails and PDFs: a short disclosure line near the first link
  • Videos: disclosure in the description and a pinned comment. If practical, also an on-screen note
  • Social posts: affiliate links are labeled clearly with “Ad” or #ad at the start of the caption, as required

We keep wording clear and easy to spot, never hidden in fine print.

Example wording you’ll see

  • “This is an affiliate link. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”
  • “Links may earn us a small commission. Price is the same for you.”

How we choose what to recommend

We recommend products based on usefulness, reliability, value, and availability. Retailers and brands do not control what we write. If a product is loaned or given for review, we will disclose that on the specific page.

Prices and availability

Product prices and stock can change quickly. We aim to keep content up to date, but please check the retailer page for the latest information.

Cookies and tracking

Retailers may use cookies or similar technology to attribute commissions when you click a link. See our Privacy Policy for details on cookies and analytics, including how to manage consent in line with EU rules.

Why this disclosure matters

Affiliate links create a “material connection” under FTC and UK/EU guidelines. That means we need to tell you about it in a clear and obvious way. We follow these rules so you always know when we may earn a commission.

  • United States: FTC Endorsement Guides
  • United Kingdom: ASA/CAP and CMA guidance on affiliate marketing
  • European Union: EU consumer law requiring transparency in commercial content
